MassSAVE HEAT Loan Low Interest Financing for 2008
HEAT Loan Program
The HEAT Loan Program provides customers the opportunity to apply for a
0% loan from participating lenders to assist customers with the
installation of qualified energy efficient improvements in their homes.
The loans are available up-to $10,000 with terms up-to 7 years. To apply
for the loan, the customer must own and reside in a one to four family
residence and obtain a Home Energy Assessment through the MassSAVE
Program.

Visit MassSAVE’s participating lender list to find a lender.
How It Works

Customer must sign up for a Home Energy Assessment from an authorized MassSAVE vendor.

A MassSAVE representative will assess your energy efficiency improvement needs and determine what improvements are eligible for financing. The representative will provide the customer with HEAT Loan Intake Form, Program Steps and Minimum Standards and Requirements.

Obtain pre-approval from a participating lender if you choose.

Obtain written contractor price proposal(s) for the installation of the improvements.

Forward the proposal(s) for review and approval by your MassSAVE HEAT Loan administrator listed on your electric utility or Cape Light Compact’s HEAT Loan Intake Form.

Once approved you will receive a HEAT Loan Authorization Form from the MassSAVE vendor that authorizes the lender to process the HEAT Loan.

Finalize the loan with a participating lender and obtain two party checks.

Measures are installed and MassSAVE conducts a post installation inspection on the installed improvements.
